Smile,
and the
World Smiles
with You!
"Every
time you
smile at
someone,
it is an
action
of love,
a gift
to that
person,
a
beautiful
thing."
Saint
Teresa
(formerly
Mother
Teresa)
It is
human
nature
to be
drawn to
people
who
smile.
We are
attracted
to them
because
we like
to
associate
ourselves
with
happy
people.
Being
happy
makes us
feel
elated
and
content.
On the
flipside,
growls,
grimaces
and bad
moods
repel
people -
but a
smile
draws
them in.
Numerous
studies
show
that
smiling
is a
vital
ingredient
for a
long and
happy
life.
People
who
smile
often
laugh
more,
live
longer
and are
healthier
than
those
who
don't.
Smiling
inadvertently
changes
the mood
for the
better
and is
especially
effective
in
tricking
the body
into a
happier
state!
Smiling
is so
contagious
that
when a
smiling
person
enters a
room,
they
create a
happy
atmosphere
and
elevate
the
moods of
those
around
them. A
smiling
person
exudes
happiness,
drawing
people
to them.
It
should
then
come as
no
surprise
that
smiling
relieves
stress.
Stress
clearly
shows in
our
faces
and our
behavior.
Smiling
prevents
us from
looking
tired,
worn out
and
feeling
overwhelmed.
So, when
you are
stressed,
smile
and you
will
change
your
thoughts
and
feelings
from
negative
to
positive!
In
addition,
the
muscles
we use
to smile
lift the
face
(ok, I
know the
eye area
has its
own
agenda!),
but it
is an
undisputed
fact
that a
smiling
face
appears
younger
and
happier.
Smiling
people
also
appear
more
confident
and
positive,
are more
likely
to be
promoted,
and are
more
approachable.
The most
exciting
results
of
various
studies
have
been its
resultant
health
benefits:
smiling
not only
boosts
the
immune
system,
but also
lowers
blood
pressure,
and
releases
endorphins,
natural
pain
killers
and
serotonin.
In a
nutshell,
smiling
is
natural
drug
provided
by
mother
nature
to
ensure
that we
are in
alignment
with the
universe
at all
times.
Therefore,
smiling
more is
a simple
and
inexpensive
way to
greatly
enhance
the
quality
of your
life.
All you
have to
do is
smile,
and life
will be
better.
Really.
It's
that
simple!
P.S. I
tested
this
whilst
walking
down the
street
recently.
I
flashed a
grin at
an
elderly
lady and
she
responded
by
breaking
into a
huge
smile.
Admittedly,
she had
terrible
buck
teeth,
but no
matter,
I
probably
made her
day!
