Training - How Reiki Is Taught
 

Reiki is taught in 3 or 4 levels or degrees, in small workshop groups, on residential courses or privately. Reiki attunement is a very special event and you will be taken through it in a gentle and caring way while still receiving all the knowledge and information you need to begin upon this wonderful path.

Reiki 1

Reiki 1 or 1^st degree uses a series of attunements or single attunement to open the student up to Reiki energy and lifelong ability to channel that energy for self-development and self-healing, it is followed by a 21 day cleansing process during which the student practices self-healing as the body becomes accustomed to the energy and more "clearing out" may be experienced.  After this you can practice Reiki on friends and family and this includes pets and plants.  Reiki is life changing in the most wonderful and gentle way.

Learn how to use this wonderful energy for self, family and friends during an informal yet empowering one-day workshop which gives the Reiki 1 attunement plus teaches; all you need to know about reiki, therapy and energy work basics, with practical exercises on self healing; seeing and feeling the energy field; grounding, centring, cleansing & protection; the session – theory, demonstration plus actually giving and receiving a reiki treatment.

Workshop open to anyone over 14 with a genuine interest in energy work and an open mind.

Reiki 2

Reiki 2 or 2^nd degree uses a single attunement to open the student up further to Reiki energy. Some say the energy is squared; it is certainly more powerful than Reiki 1. The student continues on their path of self-development and self-healing, often on the mental / emotional level with the 2nd degree. It is also followed by a 21 day cleansing process during which the student practices self-healing as the body becomes accustomed to the increased energy and more "clearing out" may be experienced. Reiki 2 is the professional practitioner level for Reiki although not everyone who does it does in fact practice; indeed there are many Reiki Masters who do not teach. It is perfectly reasonable and appropriate to embark on the path purely for self-development - the choice is yours and will become apparent as you progress.
Again it is taught over a one-day workshop which covers: the attunement; cleansing and preparation of the healing room; awareness of the energy changes; guidelines for professional practice; introduction to 3 sacred symbols on the conscious level and their uses; Mental and Emotional Healing; Distance Healing; certificate, notes and refreshments. Open to anyone with Reiki 1 over 18.
